URC Continues Supporting KFA “Women’s Futsal League” as the Official Sponsor

United Real Estate Company K.S.C.P. (URC) lauded the success of the URC Women’s Futsal League’s 2021/2022 season, in which more than 150 female athletes from six football clubs competed in 35 matches.

The statement was briefed in a joint press conference by URC and Kuwait Football Association (KFA) | Women’s Committee, held virtually at KFA headquarters in Adailiya area on Thursday, 27 January 2022.

Commenting on the occasion, URC Chairperson Sheikha Bibi Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah said: “The Company commits itself to equal opportunity in social initiatives and youth empowerment on all fronts, including sports activities, which is crucially driven by nurturing athletic talents and capabilities for positive impact on societies. URC proudly dedicates its support to Kuwait’s sports scene, including women’s football games, which witnessed a significant wave of change in the local arena. Kuwait’s female athletes have once again proven their capabilities and spirits to contend with passion and perseverance, and we look forward to seeing them compete both regionally and internationally.”

Meanwhile, URC Vice-Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mazen Issam Hawwa said: “The Company’s social responsibility strategy is steadfast in supporting various initiatives to achieve URC’s and social goals in different areas, including youth and sports activities, which positions URC at the forefront of companies supporting national programs contributing to youth empowerment aimed at delivering Kuwait’s promising future.”

Demand for “Hessah District” residences increased by desired homeowners seeking luxury high-rise living with unobstructed seaside and city views. With expected completion by Q4 2022, Hessah Towers has reached 71% in total sold units, while Byout Hessah has reached 52% with expected completion in 2023. Furthermore, the occupancy rate of the residential units at "Raouche View 1090" in Lebanon exceeded 80% due to its latest leasing agreement.

KFA Board Member and Head of Women’s Committee, Ms. Fatima Masoud Hayat expressed appreciation and gratitude for URC’s accommodation and generosity in sponsoring the Women’s Futsal League for the second season in a row, reflecting URC’s philosophy towards women and youth empowerment in the community.

URC Women’s Futsal League is part of KFA | Women’s Committee strategy to make local sports more inclusive for female athletes to compete at both regional and international levels. Following the first season's overwhelming success in 2020/2021, URC continues to be the official named sponsor for the league’s current season.
