Marketing Executive (Events)

Job Description
Reporting to the Communication manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible to the development of the marketing plans and programs on business outcomes. Stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising programs. the executive will also be responsible for helping to execute and facilitate corporate events & work closely with the Communication manager to assist with coordinating corporate events and activities. The executive will create and maintain communications for upcoming events, and coordinate with the marketing team to ensure these events are broadcast to the entire URC community & assist in supervising activities and play a key role in planning for special activities and collaborate with various departments to facilitate engaging, educational events such as seminars, staff workshops, forums, discussions, fairs, marketing events and more.
Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred
  • 3 to 6 years of marketing experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking and listening skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive to develop multimedia content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and proficiency in multitasking
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students and manage student activities
  • Attention to detail
  • Should have good communication and presenting skills.
  • Should have good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Should have the ability to manage multiple tasks involving internal and external partners
  • Experience in marketing in an organization of similar operations and area of responsibilities, Demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to develop and manage marketing events from the ideation till the execution
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategic marketing initiatives, campaigns, and plans from the ideation till the execution, including the design and production of marketing collateral, print and digital advertising, magazines, events, others
  • Analyse media trends and assist in the research and implementation of new media strategy for Kuwait.
  • Lead logistics execution for all events, sponsorship programs, festivals, etc. including venue organization, materials ordering, scheduling and attendance, database management, etc.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring marketing programs and plans.
  • Manage the content of the website and social media platforms to ensure that they are current, dynamic, relevant, and in alignment with the marketing strategies
  • Coordinate the production and effective distribution of marketing materials including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters, others
  • Monitor competitive landscape to identify industry trends and best practices
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities for implementation as needed for successful event execution
  • Keep abreast of latest trends and best practices within the field and share lessons learned across the department
  • Create and develop content and stories for a variety of internal and external channels that will connect with audiences
  • Prepare, supervise, and document programs and activities designed by the Communication manager.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate safe and engaging activities
  • Oversee and coordinate cross-departmental requests related to events
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to activities and events
  • Assist the Communication manager in the planning and implementation activities
  • Assist with matters related to the events calendar and overall event scheduling process
  • Coordinate with vendors to get quotations for various events and activities
  • Develop and manage innovative programs, including speaker series, conferences, panels, and workshops
  • Identify and implement new ways to use various platforms including social media and the website for employee engagement purposes
  • Assist with special projects, committees, and other responsibilities as needed.
